Terms of Service
Last updated October 11, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and TrackBeat (“TrackBeat”, “we”, “us”) for the TrackBeat website at trackbeat.studio and the TrackBeat app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. What the Service does
You upload a music recording that you own or are otherwise permitted to use. The Service separates the drums from that recording, transcribes the drum part into a chart at three difficulty levels, and lets you play along on your own drum kit while it scores your timing. The chart and the drumless mix are stored in your library so you can play them again.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to use the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account.
- One account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it cancels any active subscription, permanently erases every song, chart, mix and score in your library, and removes your sign-in identity. This cannot be undone.
3. Your music: what you promise us
The Service only works with files you provide. By uploading a recording you represent and warrant that:
- you own the recording, or you have a licence or other legal right that permits you to store a copy of it with a service for your own use and to make a derivative version of it (the drumless mix and the chart) for your own personal, non-commercial practice; and
- uploading it and using it with the Service does not infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights.
You keep all rights in your recordings. You grant us only the limited licence we need to process your recording and store the results for you: to copy the file to our processing system, to create the drumless mix and the chart, and to store and stream those results back to you. We do not use your recordings or the results for anything else, do not share them with other users, and do not use them to train models.
The drumless mix and the chart are for your personal practice only. You may not download, extract, redistribute, publish, sell or perform the drumless mix, or use the Service to create stems for any purpose other than playing along inside the Service.
4. What we store from your file
For each song we keep three things, privately and only for your account: a copy of your recording (so you can play along with the drums on), the drumless mix, and the chart. We never keep the isolated drum track. Nothing is shared with other users or made public, each file is reachable only through short-lived links issued to your signed-in session, and all three are deleted when you delete the song or your account. See the Privacy Policy for details.
5. Plans, trials and payment
- Free plan. One song, processed once, for as long as you keep your account. Deleting that song does not grant another.
- Studio plan. A paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly, that lets you process up to 30 songs per calendar month and keep up to 100 songs in your library. Prices are shown at checkout and may differ by country and platform.
- Free trial. The yearly plan may start with a free trial. We take your payment details when the trial starts and charge you when it ends unless you cancel before then. During a trial, a smaller number of songs can be processed.
- Where you pay. On the website, payment is handled by Stripe. In the iOS app, payment is handled by Apple through the App Store, and Apple’s terms apply to that purchase, including refunds. A subscription bought on either platform unlocks the Studio plan everywhere you sign in.
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel on the website through “Manage subscription”, or for App Store purchases through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds. Website payments are refundable within 14 days of the first charge if you have processed no more than one song in that time; otherwise charges are non-refundable except where the law requires. App Store refunds are decided by Apple.
- Song packs. A subscriber who has used the month’s allowance may buy a pack of additional imports as a one-time purchase, on the website or in the app. The imports are added to your account, work on every device, and do not expire while your account exists; they can be used only while a Studio subscription is active. Song packs are non-refundable once any of their imports has been used, except where the law requires.
- When a subscription ends. Songs you processed on the Studio plan stay in your library but can’t be played until you subscribe again. Your free song keeps working. Nothing is deleted unless you delete it.
- Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.
6. Fair use of the Service
Processing a song costs real computing time, so we limit how many songs and how many upload attempts an account can make in a period. You agree not to:
- upload recordings you have no right to use;
- share accounts, or use automated tools to upload or to create accounts;
- attempt to extract, download or redistribute the drumless mixes or charts;
- interfere with the Service, probe its security, or circumvent its limits.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe content stored on the Service infringes your copyright, see our Copyright & DMCA page for how to tell us. We respond to valid notices, including by removing content and, for repeat infringers, closing accounts.
8. Our content
The Service itself — software, design, charts’ format, the scoring engine, text and artwork — belongs to TrackBeat or its licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights in it other than to use the Service as intended.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; transcription quality depends on the recording and may be imperfect. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give subscribers reasonable notice and a pro-rated refund of any prepaid period.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from recordings you upload in breach of section 3.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY — to be confirmed by counsel], and disputes will be brought in its courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
